So I’ve spent the last two weeks hunched over a computer doing the last thing I wanted to do, but something I really needed to do…I created a website. It still need some tweaking, but it’s finally ready for the reveal. I put it off for a long time because I’ve already got an Etsy site. Over time, though, I realized that I’ve got a lot more work out there than what’s on Etsy. And for some of my goals, that stuff has to be findable. So there it is. Going forward, I’ll be blogging there instead of here, so follow along if you’d like…you’ll always be welcome 🙂
This is part of my birthday gift for my sister-in-law, so keep it quiet. I think she’ll like it 🙂
I went back and added more black. I was really nervous about it…but am pleased. Makes for a happy Friday 🙂
I’ve been looking forward to putting my Thursday birds in a pattern…and today’s the day. I just love drawing them and look forward to much more creative experimenting here. They remind me of a children’s book illustration, one of my favorite forms of art. Happy Friday, people!
Some bluebonnets in honor of my Texas heritage…from watercolor painting to vectorized image.
I actually created a pattern, people! After several weeks of trying to figure out the monster that is Adobe Illustrator, I created a design and got it to repeat. I am elated! This was a super simple one but at least it worked. And it’s kind of sweet. Anyway, on to figure out how to create more complex ones and then, of course, conquer the world!!
One of my hardest jobs is knowing when to set down the brush. I don’t think I’m done with this one yet…but maybe. This is when I go make some tea and try to ignore the canvas for a while. Possibly days. Creating art is far more mental than you’d expect!
