I’ve been looking forward to putting my Thursday birds in a pattern…and today’s the day. I just love drawing them and look forward to much more creative experimenting here. They remind me of a children’s book illustration, one of my favorite forms of art. Happy Friday, people!
Some bluebonnets in honor of my Texas heritage…from watercolor painting to vectorized image.
I actually created a pattern, people! After several weeks of trying to figure out the monster that is Adobe Illustrator, I created a design and got it to repeat. I am elated! This was a super simple one but at least it worked. And it’s kind of sweet. Anyway, on to figure out how to create more complex ones and then, of course, conquer the world!!
This is an image trace from a watercolor painting I did a few years ago. I like the color palette I pulled from it–will definitely use again.
Another sketch to vector. What’s especially fun is to use the color wheel tool and randomize the given colors so they keep changing places. I’m not explaining it well…but it’s really cool 🙂
